The black pit of despair

I am currently vacationing in the black pit of despair, the hellhole I visit at least once every book, where I'm sure I'll never finish it. I keep calling out to random passersby to throw donuts down. Maybe I'll survive, just rounder.

We confirmed the number of guests for my daughter's seventh birthday party at the dreaded Chuck E. Cheese. I'm making goody bags for the parents that involve sample packets of Tylenol and airplane-sized bottles of booze. Seriously. (And, also, how is my baby turning SEVEN?)

Happy New Year!

Stop by at Literary Chicks on January 4th for my description of the new year and the 2 new me(s), if you have a chance. I'm busy finishing BLONDE JUSTICE, the second of the December Vaughn mysteries, for everyone who has been asking when her next book will be out. The depressed psychic astrologer who showed up wanting to sue over Pluto being demoted from planet status had the entire law firm in an uproar. And then Jake came back from being out of town only to find out that an old crush of December's from high school is circling around.

Oh, yeah, and there's that pesky dead body. December just can't catch a break . . .
